Cerrado Galeria celebra participação do artista Dalton Paula na 60ª Bienal de Veneza, com a exposição “Stranieri Ovunque – Foreigners Everywhere”. O evento ocorre entre 20 de abril e 24 de novembro de 2024, na cidade italiana.
A Bienal, curada por Adriano Pedrosa, traz à luz a diversidade e a expressão cultural de artistas de todo o mundo, com um foco especial em artistas indígenas e do Sul Global. Dalton Paula representa o Brasil, trazendo à tona narrativas esquecidas da história do País por meio de sua pintura, fotografia e vídeo.
Dalton Paula, nascido em Brasília em 1982 e atualmente baseado em Goiânia, conquistou reconhecimento internacional por meio de suas obras de caráter íntimo e histórico. Além de artista, Paula também é fundador do Sertão Negro Ateliê e Escola de Artes, projeto educacional que o rendeu o Prêmio Soros Arts Fellowship pela Open Society Foundation em 2023.
Este ano, Dalton Paula foi condecorado como um dos dez vencedores do prêmio Chanel Next Prize, um feito que destaca sua originalidade no cenário artístico contemporâneo.
A participação de Dalton Paula na Bienal de Veneza é um testemunho de sua habilidade de transcender fronteiras geográficas e culturais, conectando-se com um público internacional e deixando uma marca na arte contemporânea.

Cerrado Galeria celebrates the participation of artist Dalton Paula in the 60th Venice Biennale with the exhibition “Stranieri Ovunque – Foreigners Everywhere”. The event takes place between April 20 and November 24, 2024, in the Italian city.
The Biennale, curated by Adriano Pedrosa, brings to light the diversity and cultural expression of artists from all over the world, with a special focus on indigenous artists and those from the Global South. Dalton Paula represents Brazil, bringing to light forgotten narratives from the country’s history through his painting, photography and video.
Dalton Paula, born in Brasília in 1982 and currently based in Goiânia, has achieved international recognition through his intimate and historical works. As well as being an artist, Paula is also the founder of Sertão Negro Ateliê e Escola de Artes, an educational project that earned him the Soros Arts Fellowship Award from the Open Society Foundation in 2023.
This year, he was honored as one of the ten winners of the Chanel Next Prize, an achievement that highlights his originality in the contemporary art scene.
Dalton Paula’s participation in the Venice Biennale is a testament to his ability to transcend geographical and cultural boundaries, connecting with an international audience and leaving a mark on contemporary art.
